US lawmakers are exploring new blockchain regulations. US Congress just introduced two new cryptocurrency bills aimed to address price manipulation and boost the country’s competitive edge in the new industry. 

Representatives Darren Soto and Warren Davidson have introduced two new blockchain-related bills on January 30th.

The first one called H.R. 922 – Virtual Currency Consumer Protection Act of 2019,  is aimed at tackling the issue of price manipulation.

According to the document, the Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will be required to submit a report, which details the potential for virtual currency price manipulation, including methods, susceptible classes, effects and harm to investors, and so forth.

Moreover, the document also puts a definition for the term “virtual currency” as a: digital representation of value that does not have legal tender status and that functions as a medium of exchange, a unit of account, or a store of value.

根据区块链数据提供商Coin Metrics的数据，3月31日，Tether（USDT）的日交易次数达到了38150的高位，创下历史新高。根据CoinMarketCap的数据，目前Tether日交易量排名第二，共交易了94亿美元，而BTC的日交易量为102亿美元。

Tether (USDT), the most used fiat-pegged stablecoin, has hit an all-time high by the number of daily transactions, according to blockchain data provider Coin Metrics.

On March 31, the amount of Tether transactions hit a high of 38,150, representing a new milestone in the adoption of the major stablecoin launched in 2015.

At press time, Tether is ranked the second top cryptocurrency by daily trading volume at $9.4 billion, while Bitcoin’s (BTC) daily trading volume amounts to $10.2 billion, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Tether has long been the subject of controversy in crypto community, having been criticizedfor Bitcoin price manipulation back in 2017. Crypto investor and entrepreneur Michael Novogratz also condemned Tether for its purported lack of transparency.

A new study shows that the fintech sector in Switzerland continues to grow, while traditional financial institutions are stagnating. The report was published by SwissBanking on April 1.

The report dubbed “IFZ FinTech Study 2019” was prepared by the Lucerne University of Applied Studies with an aim to show developments in the fintech industry in 2018 and analyze how banks position themselves vis-avis the fintech industry.

Per the report, the Swiss fintech sector showed significant growth in 2018. With 356 active companies by the end of the year, the industry reportedly grew by 62 percent. The sector reportedly registered larger venture capital transactions, although the market for cryptographic assets was subject to a significant correction.

Galia Benartzi, one of the founders of Bancor stated that in order to make digital currency mainstream, and get 1 billion or more users, crypto investors should not be the only focus.

Crypto Assets As Products Not Just As Investments

She also stated that to meet high user numbers, there should be tokens created which will not only serve as investment tools but also as products for the users, and that the biggest brands on the internet such as YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit amongst others have billions of users not because of their investment attractions but because of Services/products they give them.

Galia Benartzi stated this at the current Asia crypto week summit, in which she is in participation with other well known names in the digital asset spheres.

Bancor has remodeled the way by which users trade and invest digital assets by decentralizing the liquidity network, and having a nonstop crypto liquidity between assets. The Bancor’s Co-founder stated:

“many people do buy stocks, but most people that use the products that we think of as the most successful products of the internet age such as Facebook your YouTube your Reddit are buying or consuming products that they want to use rather than products that they want to invest in and wait to appreciate and then cash out”

US lawmakers are exploring new blockchain regulations. US Congress just introduced two new cryptocurrency bills aimed to address price manipulation and boost the country’s competitive edge in the new industry. 

Representatives Darren Soto and Warren Davidson have introduced two new blockchain-related bills on January 30th.

The first one called H.R. 922 – Virtual Currency Consumer Protection Act of 2019,  is aimed at tackling the issue of price manipulation.

At press time, Tether is ranked the second top cryptocurrency by daily trading volume at $9.4 billion, while Bitcoin’s (BTC) daily trading volume amounts to $10.2 billion, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

She also stated that to meet high user numbers, there should be tokens created which will not only serve as investment tools but also as products for the users, and that the biggest brands on the internet such as YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit amongst others have billions of users not because of their investment attractions but because of Services/products they give them.

Galia Benartzi stated this at the current Asia crypto week summit, in which she is in participation with other well known names in the digital asset spheres.

Bancor has remodeled the way by which users trade and invest digital assets by decentralizing the liquidity network, and having a nonstop crypto liquidity between assets. The Bancor’s Co-founder stated:
