It details its quest to reboot a special, dedicated machine (archive node) used to record all the “states” (settings) Ethereum $ETH▼0.82% has taken in its history.
At a high level, archive nodes store Ethereum snapshots. Not just a record of all the transactions processed, but a complete map of the entire blockchain each time a block is added. They are different to full nodes, which are just concerned with transactions, not states.

According to a job posting that appeared on the Times’ website Wednesday, the media organization is looking for someone to help “design a blockchain-based proof of concept for news publishers.”
To start the project, NYT is looking for a “forward-looking leader” who would be working on the proof-of-concept’s outline for 12 months within the company’s research and development division, according to the post, which was removed after this article was published.
The new hire “will codify the vision for the research project and share that vision with potential stakeholders at other media organizations” and “help brand and create a public identity and assets for the project.”

Security token offerings (STO) are becoming more popular, relative to initial coin offerings (ICO), according to a new report by Big Four firm PwC's global consulting subsidiary Strategy&. Releasedon March 8, the firm’s forth ICO and STO report was developed in collaboration with the SwissCrypto Valley Association.
According to the joint report, STOs “are not fundamentally different from ICOs.” The document states that STOs are “a more mature and regulated form” of fundraising, noting — given the definition of a security — that the tokens sold in an STO can provide investors with various financial rights.
STOs, the report claims, also combine a number of ICO features, such as low entry barriers for investors, as well as traditional venture capital and private equity fundraising characteristics, such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.

Together with Congressman Ted Budd, Coin Center asked the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to clarify Commission's position on the classification of digital tokens.

The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC), one of the thirteen provincial financial regulators in Canada, has added Canada Bitcoin Exchange Inc. (CBE), which facilitates trading in digital currencies, to its ever-growing Investment Caution List.
The BCSC says CBE’s website claims to offer four investment plans, with returns ranging from 3,586% to 7,985% after 24 to 48 hours, which raises a red flag as far as investors are concerned.
As one would expect, sites such as Canada Bitcoin operate as a HYIP scheme where returns are always dodgy, though they tend to dry up well before the original investment amount is repaid. The company provides no legitimate proof of payouts, and it is likely no one will ever see any money.
